The first Hyundai Ioniq 5 debuted in August 2021 and has been successful in the electric SUV segment since then. The latest edition is still in production, but it’s available for pre-order now. 

 

The new 2023 Ioniq will have the same features as the 2022 edition, but the higher trims will have a head-up display and an 8-speaker Bose audio system available. Hyundai has also increased battery capacity to 77.4kWh for the Preferred Long Range and the Preferred AWD Long Range models, giving it more driving range. Other new features include a heat pump and battery heating system, a revised ride and handling tune, digital side mirrors, and a vision roof.

The Ioniq is fully electric and has motors and a lithium-ion polymer high-voltage battery. On a fully charged battery, you can drive up to 507 km in the RWD configuration and 454 km in the AWD configuration. 

 

The Preferred model has a 125kW motor and 58kWh battery, while the Preferred Long Range has a 168kW motor with a 77.4kWh battery. The Preferred AWD Long Range has a 239kW motor and 77.4kWh battery that delivers up to 320HP. The AWD also features all-wheel-drive dual motors. 

 

All 2023 Ioniq 5 trim models support both 400V and 800V charging, and recharge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

All models feature a 12.3-inch electroluminescent technology display equipped with navigation functions. The infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SiriusXM radio is also available. All models are also equipped with the BlueLink-connected vehicle system.

 

The Preferred AWD Long Range model offers Bose premium audio and wireless device charging.
